Heavy Duty Bushing and Seat Ring Set for Ball Mill Rotary Kiln Bearing
Product Description
Bushing and Seat Ring are a set of core matching components, widely applied in sliding bearing systems of large heavy-duty rotary equipment such as cement ball mills, rotary kilns, mining crushers, industrial dryers, and large reducers. As key wearing parts, they work together to ensure stable operation, reduce friction loss, and extend the service life of the entire bearing assembly, which is crucial for the continuous and efficient operation of heavy machinery.
1. Product Overview & Working Principle
The bushing and seat ring form an integrated bearing support structure, with clear division of labor and close cooperation:
• Bushing: A cylindrical sliding component directly in contact with the rotating shaft (such as pinion shaft, supporting roller shaft). It provides a smooth, wear-resistant contact surface for the shaft, reduces friction and wear between the shaft and the seat ring, absorbs vibration and shock during equipment operation, and forms a reliable lubricating oil film to prevent direct metal-to-metal contact and seizure.
• Seat Ring: A fixed annular component that is installed in the bearing housing and used to position and fix the bushing. It bears the radial and axial loads transmitted by the bushing, ensures the concentricity of the bushing and the rotating shaft, prevents the bushing from shifting during operation, and provides a stable installation base for the bushing.
2. Core Functions
• Support the rotating shaft and transmit radial/axial loads stably, ensuring the smooth operation of the main equipment.
• Reduce friction between the shaft and the bearing housing, lower energy consumption, and avoid shaft wear.
• Absorb equipment vibration and impact load, protect the bearing housing and rotating shaft from damage.
• Maintain the concentricity of the shaft and bearing assembly, ensuring precise transmission of the equipment.
• Easy to replace and maintain, reducing equipment downtime and maintenance costs.

3.2 Manufacturing Process
• Bushing: Forging/Casting → Precision Turning → Internal Bore Grinding → Oil Groove Processing → Heat Treatment (Quenching & Tempering, Surface Hardening) → Rust Prevention Treatment → Quality Inspection
• Seat Ring: Forging/Casting → Rough Machining → Precision Turning → End Face Grinding → Positioning Hole Processing → Heat Treatment → Surface Sandblasting → Anti-Rust Painting → Quality Inspection
Key Process Advantages: Strict control of dimensional accuracy and surface finish, ensuring tight fit between bushing and seat ring; heat treatment process optimizes material performance, enhancing wear resistance and service life; all products undergo strict flaw detection (MT/UT) to ensure no internal or surface defects.
4. Structural Features
• Bushing: Usually split into upper and lower halves (for easy installation and replacement); internal bore is precision machined with high roundness; designed with oil grooves and oil holes to ensure sufficient lubrication; the inner surface is polished to reduce friction.
• Seat Ring: Integral or split structure (customizable); precision machined inner hole to match the bushing closely; equipped with positioning pins or bolt holes for fixed installation; high concentricity, ensuring that the bushing and shaft are coaxial.
• The matching gap between bushing and seat ring is strictly controlled to avoid loosening or jamming during operation, ensuring stable and reliable operation.
5. Application Scope
Widely used in heavy industrial equipment, mainly including:
• Cement industry: Rotary kilns, ball mills, raw material mills, coal mills
• Mining industry: Crushers, grinding mills, conveyor equipment
• Metallurgical industry: Metallurgical rotary kilns, smelting equipment
